In the heading, the title has written in the colloquial language spoken as What is MSME ?. But with correct grammar, commonly it should be “what are MSMEs?”. But technically, MSMEs are different sets of legal entities categorised as Micro, Small, and Medium enterprises by the Ministry of MSMEs, the Government of India.

In India, investments and turnover made by MSME are classifying Micro, Small, and Medium enterprises.

Why do a country need MSMEs?

Worldwide MSMEs are classified based on many definitions. Every country’s government takes initiatives to organise the companies coming under MSME and offer assistance and guidelines. Because the MSMEs globally provide maximum employment and substantial support to export businesses.

While researching across the globe, each country gets 6- 98% of the employment. 6% to 98% of the Employment growth is directly proportional to the development of MSMEs in that country.

I am stressing so much time to explain MSME definition because it will be helpful for future MSMEs to understand global terms of businesses. Businesses worldwide are going to grow mainly because of MSMEs in the World. But India’s contribution to the Export business is around 2% worldwide. MSME’s contribution to the Export business is more than 40% in India. So we need more MSMEs. However, we have more youths in the world compared to any country.
